  1. Hi Alyssa! Your slide looks great! It’s clear and well organized. I think seasonal depression is definitely an important thing to be aware of as a teacher. It can absolutely affect a student and how they work in the classroom. A student that is typically good with completing work and attentive in class could begin to fall behind because of something like seasonal depression. It’s good for educators to be aware of this so they can better identify if a student may be struggling with these issues. I think it is less talked about than typical depression or other mental health issues, and when I have seen it discussed, it’s usually in a joking manner. So I think it’s good to discuss seasonal depression as many may be suffering from it and not be aware since they are only affected at certain times of the year. I also really like how you included a list of sources that teachers can use to educate themselves on the topic. You did really good!
